    Citizens Bank Park opened on April 12, 2004 as the new home of the Phillies, replacing Veterans Stadium which had served both the Phillies and Eagles since 1971. Built at a cost of $458 million, the ballpark was designed by HOK Sport (now Populous) and sits in the South Philadelphia Sports Complex alongside Lincoln Financial Field (Eagles), Wells Fargo Center (76ers/Flyers), and Xfinity Live! entertainment district.

    The ballpark features a classic-meets-modern design with brick and steel construction, a towering Liberty Bell that lights up and swings for home runs, and excellent sightlines from all 42,792 seats.
