Seaworld Drive toilets (LAST before tip)
Use before walking out. No toilet at the seaway tip. 2km walk each way — about an hour return.
The Spit narrows from a wide beach to a sandbar just metres wide at the tip. It's a spectacular walk but completely exposed with no facilities. The Seaworld Drive toilet is the last one before the sandbar. Use it. You'll be at least 30 minutes from a toilet once you pass it.
Main Beach Pavilion
Central Main Beach near the restaurant strip. Well-maintained with all facilities.
Tedder Avenue is Main Beach's restaurant strip — upscale dining, cafes, boutiques. The Pavilion toilets are the closest public option. Most restaurants also have customer facilities, but the Pavilion saves you needing to buy something.
Seaworld Drive toilets
The seaway is one of the Gold Coast's best fishing spots. Toilet at the car park before walking out.
Fishermen flock to The Spit for tailor, bream, and flathead. Most fish from the seaway rocks or the sandbar. The Seaworld Drive car park is where everyone stages — use the toilet there. If you're fishing the tip, you're 30+ minutes from any facility.

Federation Walk is a beautiful coastal bushland path through native vegetation. About 2.5km total. There's a toilet block roughly halfway along — unusual for a bush walk and very welcome. Flat and easy walking.

Macintosh Island Park is Main Beach's family hub — shaded playground, picnic tables, BBQs, and calm Nerang River water (no surf). The toilet block has baby change and wheelchair access. Much calmer than the ocean beach for little kids.

There are no toilet facilities at the tip of The Spit. The last toilet is at the Seaworld Drive car park area. Once you walk past it, you're 20-30 minutes from the nearest facility.
The sandbar is narrow and exposed. There is nowhere to discreetly go. Use the Seaworld Drive toilet before walking out — especially if you're fishing and plan to stay for hours.
