Nissan Stadium (originally Adelphi Coliseum, then LP Field) opened on August 27, 1999, as the first permanent home of the Tennessee Titans, who had previously played at Vanderbilt Stadium and the Liberty Bowl in Memphis after relocating from Houston in 1997.
The $292 million open-air venue sits on the east bank of the Cumberland River directly across from downtown Nashville. Its location provides iconic views of the Nashville skyline and is connected to Lower Broadway via the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge — making it one of the most walkable NFL stadium experiences in the country.
The stadium seats 69,143 and has hosted the 2003 and 2019 NFL Drafts (the 2019 Draft drew a record 600,000 fans to downtown Nashville), as well as major concerts including the CMA Music Festival's nightly concerts.
A new enclosed $2.1 billion Nissan Stadium is under construction immediately adjacent to the current stadium and is scheduled to open in February 2027. The new venue will feature a translucent ETFE roof, nearly twice the restroom capacity of the current stadium, dedicated mother's lounges, family restrooms with adult-sized changing tables, and dramatically wider concourses. The current stadium will continue hosting events through the 2026 season.
Nissan Stadium has restrooms on every concourse level — Lower Concourse (100 Level), Club Level (200 Level), and Upper Level (300 Level). Family restrooms are located at Sections 105 and 120 (Lower Concourse) and Sections 308 and 324 (Upper Level). All have changing tables.
On non-event days, the nearest public restrooms are in downtown Nashville across the pedestrian bridge — restaurants and bars on Broadway, plus the Nashville Convention Center.

Walk across the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge from downtown — it is the most iconic arrival at any NFL stadium. Start on Broadway, grab a beer at Tootsie's, and walk across with 10,000 other fans.
Park downtown or in the Gulch and walk to the stadium. You avoid stadium lot traffic entirely, and you are already downtown for post-game entertainment on Broadway.
The current stadium is open-air with limited shade. Early-season games in September can be brutally hot — the Upper Level concourse has more covered areas than the Lower Level.
The Upper Level restrooms are consistently less crowded. Go during the second quarter rather than waiting for halftime.

Budget parking tip: the Court House and Library parking options are only $15 on game days, compared to $30-$50 for stadium lots. Downtown garages are often cheaper than east bank lots.
