Lincoln Financial Field opened on August 3, 2003, replacing Veterans Stadium as the home of the Philadelphia Eagles. The $512 million venue was designed by NBBJ Architects with a capacity of 69,796 (expandable to over 72,000 for special events).
The stadium sits within the South Philadelphia Sports Complex alongside Citizens Bank Park (Phillies), Wells Fargo Center (76ers and Flyers), and the Xfinity Live! entertainment district. This concentration of major venues sharing 22,000 parking spaces makes the complex one of the largest sports districts in America.
A $125 million renovation completed in 2014 added the Eagles' SCA Tissue-sponsored all-inclusive concession areas, upgraded restrooms, and expanded premium seating. The stadium became the first professional sports venue to be powered entirely by renewable energy through a combination of 11,000 solar panels and 14 micro wind turbines on the roof.
Lincoln Financial Field has hosted the 2014 and 2023 Army-Navy Games, multiple international soccer matches, and the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The Eagles' Super Bowl LII victory in February 2018 cemented the stadium's place in Philadelphia sports history.
Lincoln Financial Field has 14 family/all gender restrooms and numerous men's and women's restrooms spread across the Lower Level (100 Level), Club Level (200 Level), Upper Level, and Mezzanine Level. Every restroom is equipped with baby changing stations. The stadium has made inclusive restroom upgrades near the Sensory Room on the Lower Suites Level.
All restrooms are ADA accessible. Three upgraded inclusive restrooms near the Eagles Sensory Room (presented by Children's Hospital of Philadelphia) on the Lower Suites Level feature adult changing tables, higher dividers for enhanced privacy, warm lighting, and soothing music. Elevators connect all levels. Guest Services booths are located behind Sections 121, 136, 206, and 226.
14 Family/All Gender restrooms are located near Sections 121, 146, 154, 320, 354, 435, 437, 439, plus the United Club 100 Level (south end) and Sections 202 and 216 on the Club Level. All have changing tables. Two Mamava nursing pods are located at Gate 25 (ADA accessible) and behind Section 230 on the Colonnade Level.
There are no public restrooms inside the stadium on non-event days. The Xfinity Live! entertainment district adjacent to the sports complex has public restrooms year-round. Wells Fargo Center and Citizens Bank Park restrooms are available during their respective events.

Citizens Bank Park and Wells Fargo Center are in the same complex — if you are attending multiple events the same day or weekend, the same parking pass often works across all three venues.
The SEPTA Broad Street Line subway drops you directly at NRG Station steps from the stadium. It is the fastest and cheapest option from Center City — about 15 minutes from City Hall.

Eagles games have some of the most passionate (and loud) fans in the NFL. Upper Level end zone sections have the most intense atmosphere. If you need a quieter restroom break, head to the Club Level concourse.
FDR Park south of the complex offers free parking with a $30 overflow option on game days. Tailgating in the main lots starts early — arrive 3+ hours before kickoff for the full South Philly tailgate experience.
All concourses and restrooms are open. Gates open 2 hours before kickoff. Tailgating is a major tradition in the South Philadelphia Sports Complex lots. The SEPTA Broad Street Line is the easiest way to arrive. Restroom lines peak at halftime — the Upper Level and Mezzanine restrooms are less crowded.
Lincoln Financial Field hosted FIFA World Cup 2026 matches. Enhanced security, modified concourse layouts, and additional temporary restroom facilities may differ from standard NFL configurations. International fans should note the SEPTA subway provides direct access.
Concert configurations may modify seating and restroom access. The Linc hosts major concerts including Taylor Swift, Beyonce, and other world tours. Additional temporary restroom facilities are typically placed for large events.

If you must drive, the 22,000-space complex has ample room, but tailgating starts early. FDR Park overflow at $30 saves $10 over the main lots.
