EverBank Stadium opened on August 18, 1995 as Jacksonville Municipal Stadium, the same year the Jaguars began play as an NFL expansion team. Built at a cost of $134 million, the stadium sits on the north bank of the St. Johns River in downtown Jacksonville.
The venue has undergone several naming rights changes: Alltel Stadium (1997-2006), Jacksonville Municipal Stadium again (2007-2010), EverBank Field (2010-2018), TIAA Bank Field (2018-2022), and EverBank Stadium (2022-present).
The stadium became famous for its massive video boards — the world's largest at the time of installation in 2014, measuring 60 feet high and 362 feet long in each end zone. The north end zone features a unique pool deck and spa where fans can watch the game from cabana-style seating.
In February 2025, a $1.4 billion 'Stadium of the Future' renovation began. The project includes a 360-degree concourse, an energy-efficient facade, and a large canopy providing shade coverage. The renovation is projected for completion before the 2028 NFL season. During construction in 2026, the north end zone spa deck and Sky Patio are offline.
EverBank Stadium has restrooms on the Main Concourse (100 Level) and Upper Concourse (400 Level). Family restrooms are located throughout on both levels near Sections 102, 123, 144 (Main) and 410, 436 (Upper). A $1.4 billion renovation (2025-2028) will add a 360-degree concourse and significantly improve restroom facilities.
All restrooms are ADA accessible. Elevators are located in the East and West Club areas and at Gate 4 in the South End Zone. The renovation will improve accessibility throughout.
Family restrooms with changing tables are on the Main Concourse near Sections 102, 123, and 144, and on the Upper Concourse near Sections 410 and 436.
Restrooms are accessible once inside the stadium. Gates open 2 hours before kickoff. Downtown Jacksonville restaurants to the west have restrooms available before the game.

The north end zone pool deck and spa are offline during the 2026 season due to the $1.4 billion renovation. The pool deck was one of the most unique fan experiences in the NFL — it should return when the 'Stadium of the Future' renovation is complete in 2028.
The Upper Concourse (400 Level) restrooms are less crowded than the Main Concourse. However, during the renovation the plaza level no longer allows contiguous gate-to-gate travel — use the Main Concourse for 360-degree navigation.
Florida heat is brutal for early-season games (September-October). Stay hydrated — the increased fluid intake means more restroom trips. The renovation will add shade canopy coverage, but until 2028, bring sunscreen and a hat.
For cheap parking, use the JAX Annex Garage ($5), Coastline Drive Lot ($5), or Riverplace Blvd Lot ($10) downtown. These are a 10-15 minute walk from the stadium and significantly cheaper than official lots.
