    Getting to Mt Hotham

    From Melbourne (4.5 hrs)

    Hume Freeway to Wangaratta, then Great Alpine Road through Bright and Harrietville. The climb from Harrietville is 30km of steep switchbacks — one of the most dramatic roads in Australia.

    From East (Omeo side)

    Via Bairnsdale and Omeo on the Great Alpine Road. Less steep but longer drive. Passes through Dinner Plain before reaching Hotham.
