A complete guide to every restroom at Petco Park — including family rooms, ADA accessible facilities, and insider tips for shorter lines.
Petco Park opened on April 8, 2004 in San Diego's East Village, catalyzing the neighborhood's transformation from industrial warehouses to a thriving urban district. Built at a cost of $474 million, the ballpark was designed by HOK Sport (now Populous) and integrates the Western Metal Supply Co. building — a four-story 1909 warehouse — into the left field corner, serving as luxury suites and the team store.
The park is renowned for its perfect weather (San Diego averages 266 sunny days per year), views of the San Diego skyline and Balboa Park, and the Park at the Park — a 2.7-acre grassy area beyond center field where fans can watch the game on a giant screen for a reduced price. Petco Park sits blocks from the Gaslamp Quarter, one of San Diego's premier dining and nightlife districts.
Petco Park has restrooms on every concourse level — Main Concourse (100), Upper Concourse (200), and Upper Reserved (300). Family restrooms are available at five locations across three levels.
ADA-accessible restrooms are available on all levels. The ballpark has elevators for access between levels. For accessibility assistance, visit Guest Services at any gate.
Family restrooms at Sections 109 (Main Concourse), 202 and 219 (Upper Concourse), and 310 and 311 (Upper Reserved). A dedicated nursing lounge on the Toyota Terrace is sponsored by Sharp Mary Birch Hospital, with comfortable seating and power outlets.
Restrooms are accessible once inside the ballpark. Gates typically open 90 minutes before first pitch. The Park at the Park area has restroom access. Gaslamp Quarter restaurants nearby have public restrooms.

Dedicated nursing lounge on the Toyota Terrace sponsored by Sharp Mary Birch Hospital for Women & Newborns. Private room with comfortable seating, power outlets for breast pumps, and changing table.
The Upper Reserved (300 level) restrooms are almost always less crowded than the Main Concourse. If you're on the 100 level and the line is long, take the escalator up.
The nursing lounge on the Toyota Terrace is a dedicated private space sponsored by Sharp Mary Birch Hospital — it's one of the nicer nursing rooms in any MLB ballpark.
Take the San Diego Trolley (Green Line) to the 12th & Imperial or Gaslamp Quarter stations — both are a short walk to the ballpark and parking downtown is pricey.
Gates open 90 minutes before first pitch. The Park at the Park behind center field has restrooms and is a great spot to hang out before heading to your seats.
Petco Park is right on the edge of the Gaslamp Quarter. Grab dinner at one of the restaurants before the game and use their restrooms — saves you from the initial rush at the gates.
Family restrooms are single-occupancy, so lines can be slow. Section 109 on the Main Concourse tends to be the busiest — try 310 or 311 on the 300 level instead.
All concourse restrooms are open. Gates open 90 minutes before first pitch. The Main Concourse behind home plate sees the heaviest traffic during the 5th and 7th innings. San Diego's weather means the ballpark is almost always sunny and comfortable.
Petco Park hosts major concerts and events. Concert configurations vary but most concourse restrooms remain open. The Park at the Park may be used for additional seating or facilities.
