Denham Foreshore toilets
Main town facilities near the jetty, cafes, and foreshore park. Best-maintained in the area.
Denham's foreshore toilet is the best facility in the whole Shark Bay area. Accessible cubicle, baby change, and drinking water. The town has fuel, a supermarket, bakery, and several restaurants. Population about 600.
Monkey Mia Resort toilets
25km from Denham. Dolphins visit most mornings (7:30am-noon). Day entry $15/adult.
Monkey Mia has excellent facilities including accessible toilets, cafe, and shop. Rangers manage dolphin interactions — usually 3 feeding sessions per morning. Arrive by 7:30am for the best experience. No guarantee dolphins will appear but they come most days.
Shell Beach toilets
45km from Denham. Beach made entirely of cockle shells, 10m deep. One of two in the world.
Shell Beach has a basic toilet at the car park. The beach itself is extraordinary — billions of tiny coquina shells form a beach so dense you can cut blocks from it (historically used as building material). Bring water — no other facilities.
Eagle Bluff toilets
Cliff-top lookout 20km south of Denham. Sharks, rays, and dugongs visible in crystal-clear water below.
Eagle Bluff has a basic drop toilet at the car park. The lookout is spectacular — you can see sharks, manta rays, sea turtles, and dugongs in the clear shallow water below the cliffs. Best on calm days with overhead sun.
Francois Peron NP toilets
4WD only beyond the old homestead. Red sand meets turquoise ocean. Day-use area has a toilet.
The park entry/homestead area has basic toilet facilities and the historic artesian hot tub. Beyond this point requires 4WD and there are no further facilities. Deflate tyres for the red sand tracks. Spectacular coastal scenery.
Denham Foreshore (last/first in area)
It's 130km from the highway turnoff to Denham. No facilities on the road in.
The drive from the Overlander Roadhouse on the highway to Denham is 130km with zero facilities. Hamelin Pool Telegraph Station (stromatolites) is the only stop on the peninsula road, and its toilet may not be open. Use Denham as your base.
