Nagambie is tiny — everything is within a few minutes. But when you're busting after a wine tasting, a few minutes matters. Here's where to head.
Buckley Park toilets
Right on the lakefront with playground, BBQs, and swimming access.
Buckley Park is ground zero for lake activities. The toilet block is near the car park and playground. If you're swimming, skiing, or kayaking — this is your facility. Well-maintained and modern.
Winery customer facilities
Mitchelton, Tahbilk, and smaller cellar doors all have customer toilets.
The wineries have excellent customer facilities — you don't need to worry if you're visiting for tastings or lunch. Mitchelton's tower restaurant and Tahbilk's heritage cellar door both have proper bathrooms. Not public access otherwise.
Main Street toilet block
Central facilities for a quick stop. Cafes and bakery nearby.
High Street has a public toilet block. The town is small — one main street with a bakery, pub, cafe, and general store. A popular quick stop for people driving the Hume who duck off the freeway for a break.
Regatta Centre toilets
Purpose-built facilities at the world-class rowing venue.
The Nagambie Lakes Regatta Centre hosts national and international rowing events. During regattas, the facilities are heavily used but well-serviced. Between events, the toilets are still available for visitors to the lakefront area.
Any Nagambie facility (5 min off freeway)
Nagambie is a 5-minute detour from the Hume. Much nicer than a servo stop.
If you're driving Melbourne to Shepparton or beyond, Nagambie is the best rest stop option. Turn off at Nagambie-Locksley Road, and in 5 minutes you're at a lake with proper toilets, a bakery, and a much better vibe than the highway servos.
